To Breed the best possible seedstock using proven dams and
sires.
Chapman
Farms 9270 W Cutler Road Eagle Michigan started out
in 1979 with a house and five acres. Jerry and his
wife Rhonda have built their family and farm over the
years, they have three children and today the property
includes 250 acres and reaches 1 ½ miles behind the original house. Jerry
was raised on a dairy farm in Ionia County. His Grandfather
raised registered horned Herefords and on Jerry’s 13th
birthday he received a Hereford heifer. He raised a small
herd from this heifer. Jerry has experimented with many beef
breeds and had black baldies for many years. Friend and neighbor
Jerold Brocker got him started in the Piedmontese breed in
1998 when a deal was made to use Jerry’s cows as
recipients for a share of embryos. The same deal was made
with another friend and neighbor Dan Schafer. These men
have worked together to build some of the finest Piedmontese
cattle and have helped other folks get started with this
breed.
Jerry has been the Piedmontese Association of the United
States Spring Production Sale committee chairman for the
past two years. Pictures of cattle that will be consigned
to these sales will be featured on this website. Jerry’s
dream is to one day see this sale on RFD TV!
